About WallFlower Art

Located in the historic market town of Wymondham in Norfolk, I provide floral preservation for brides and grooms from all across the UK. Whether you choose to drop off your flowers in person or send your bouquet via the post, I follow meticulous guidelines to ensure the safe handling and framing of your cherished blooms.

I'm Jane and I'm a keen crafter, reader, gardener and podcast listener. I love listening to a podcast (especially one by fellow Norfolk resident, Adam Buxton) or audio book while I work. I live with my husband, Jamie, 2 teenage children and 2 cats.

I have to admit that I haven't always been a plant lover. I studied Zoology at Sheffied University. I loved Biology but found the plant side extremely dull! This all changed when I met my future husband, while in my final year, who was gardening-mad and had his own allotment. Digging up free carrots and beetroot for our Sunday lunches eventually won me over. I went on to study Environmental Science at University College London and had a brief stint in market research and IT before leaving London to set up a garden design businesswith my husband in Norfolk, not far from my Suffolk roots.

After many years gardening, I discovered a passion for growing my own cut flowers for displaying in the house. The chance purchase of a microwave flower press for my daughter in Toys R Us, led to me experimenting with pressing and framing the flowers that I'd grown. The rest is history. Our whole garden is filled to the brim with flowers and foliage for cutting and pressing. We still have an allotment where we grow the veg.

Helping to preserve the fleeting beauty of flowers eventually grew into my wedding flower preservation business - not bad for someone who didn't have a single flower at her own wedding. We got married at Gretna Green and I was so ill with extreme morning sickness (not exactly our plan when we booked the date) that I just about managed to get through the ceremony. Since then, I've had the honour of growing and arranging the wedding flowers of two close friends and I have a love of seasonal, UK-grown flowers. Check out the Flowers from the farm website which is a fabulous resource for finding local, sustainable flower growers - it's what I would have gone for..
